This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 23, 2009:
what are your favorite 15 minutes of the day?
[ cherish the moment ]
I've had my 15 minutes tee hee.. let them go in favor of moments &..
prefer to not indulge my ego's tendency to compare & rank some things better than others as I go about practicing being with what is as it is... but I do cherish the feeling of hereness, of being here right now, aware, calm & paying attention to whatever arises. I find that being present in itself holds a sweet, delicate texture of intimacy, an openness & sense of joy that transends or rather is detached from whatever I happen to be doing in the moment. Since I'm not beyond preferences, of craving certain activities more than others, I cheat... I appreciate the breeze of inner peace that flow through me during meditation & anchor the sensation in the minutes right after. When the feeling of restlessness comes over me, a feeling often linked to doings I'm not all that toffeed about, like fx doing the dishes, I activate my anchor & let the breeze flow over me. And it works, on some days... on other days I indulge & reward myself afterwards with something I cherish. tsk.

thanks for the morning music (as i get ready for a 7 am “brooklyn bootcamp” version of bellydancin') ~
my pleasure scribe sky.. a brooklyn bootcamp version of belly dancin? now, I'm curious : )
That picture sublime, maybe fifteen minutes was what it took to form and then drop.
- & maybe fifteen seconds is what it would take to munch that cherry into smithereens ;-)
..a gyrating showdown between 2 randomly assigned groups of atendees (and unlike many of the pre-war jam session, this ended with hugs to and from the other team)…
Make Dance, Not War ~
Gorgeous, Tara. But then, what would I expect? ;)
Lots of luv, SC
If rewards for getting things done are frowned upon, I might as well give up. Yes, I know virtue is it's own reward, but if a couple of hours of cutting grass earns me a pint of Extreme Moosetracks, well, so be it. Thanks for sharing your refreshing breeze!
“extreme moosetracks”??! beer or ice cream concoction?
tara - I cheat too. but your cheating is more eloquent than mine. haha. and I'll race you to see how long it takes to demolish that cherry. :-)
Ice Cream, dark chocolate with little peanut butter cups and good, big, giganormous swirls of creamy Denali fudge, of course, that's 2 more hours of sweat labor to work it off.
you'd better put cherries on top, just so you can say it's good for you. :-) or bananas.
- did someone say icecream? ('o') that is so my fave treat when cheating, vanilla with dark choco & cherries, my main motivator when the breeze is not available.
Today has a nice taste to it, I feel a flow coming on & wish you all a lovely day <3
this is very relaxing and flowing, Tara. I read! I watched! Your art direction and scribing goes in the opening shot of anyone's day. Breathing…….
