This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 24, 2008:
I listened the last time someone [really] spoke with me..
[ some words make walls crumble ]
The difference between listening & really listening still eludes me; Apart from that, to me the ability to listen to others, begins with being able to listen to oneself. Falling into the trap of waiting for one's turn to speak, I find is not only disrespectful towards the person gracing me with their presence, but also a sign that my need to be listened to is not being met;
A need which is my responsibilty & one I believe comes from not listening to & appreciating myself. If I can't give that to me, I will look to others for fullfillment. Being preoccupied with getting what I need, get's in the way of connecting & being present with more than just my reactive self listening.
I stay grounded & centered by asking myself questions & opening my mind in meditation to stay curious with a passion. I feel safe & comforted when accepting what is. I do need to remind myself from time to time, what really is important to me; When I do that, I feel fully alive, whole & loved. This lil cocktail automatically moves my ego & her best friend, my reactive self out of the control room to allow space for my higher self to roam about in the tender mode of selfcare & with appreciation of another giving me the joy of their presence..
[ embrace ]
the last time I was spoken with..
was in the form of a letter
as a response to my words.
I had let my ego run wild
in a state of selfpity & hurt,
feeling unloved & insecure.
I was reminded of being with what is,
embracing my emotionel turmoil &
appreciating the beauty of the moment;
Not by given advice on how to,
but by being listened to.
I felt the embrace of acceptance.
The response was a sharing
of her precious moments
of overwhelming love & pain,
all within the grasp of a breath.
The beauty of reality
in the words written to me,
shared with an open heart
brought me back to me.
I was able to let it flow and let it go,
to once again be fully present
in the moment..
thank you my friend.. tara <3

.......what's on your mind? what have you been thinking about recently?
what's been burdening you, or what have you been waiting to share?
what's been calling you? are you listening?

are often condemned by those,
who are not able to hear the music.

.........what have you learned from other animals?
[ be who you are ]
I've learned about the difference between
living life based on instinct versus intellect.
that acceptance is so easily shown with nearness &
the expectancy of gentle strokes goes without saying

.... for the tag game who am I?
I AM ..loveable, impatient, in yr face, witty & somewhat lazy on occasion.
I THINK ..I better let my heart do the thinking.
I KNOW ..a lot of things & esp what I don't know.
I HAVE ..a secret haven that I would love to tell you about if it wasn't a secret.
I WISH ..we would stop fighting, that I could still be diving & be able to fly.
I HATE ..zip · nada · nothing.
I FEAR ..the illusion of fear fucking with my mind.
I MISS ..that part of me I have yet to find.
I HEAR ..my soul whisper come dance with me.
I CRAVE ..not to crave & a special cave to curl up in.
I SEARCH FOR ..my way back home, my next inhouse man & where to go next.
I WONDER..
I REGRET ..that one time I did not turn the other cheek.
I LOVE ..my ability to love & to get lost in my senses.
I BELIEVE IN ..our best intentions & the healing of laughter.
I SING ..to soothe my soul. She loves the sound of my voice.
I LOSE ..track of time in the now.
I ALWAYS ..want to understand.
I AM SCARED ..I might stop trying.
I AM HAPPY .. to keep trying.
Tag U R it! ..copy all the big letter words & let me know when you post..

.......what constitutes true communication?
what gets in the way of your communicating with others—or vice versa?
what gets in the way of your communicating with others—or vice versa?
[ are you talking to me? )
park reactive self outside communication space,
leave projection mechanisms there too.
create rapport by remembering we are the same;
beyond race, religion, color, sexuality & gender.
throw in a dash of compassion to please the palette;
a big bunch of authenticity for spice & spunk.
now, practice embrace by opening your arms,
then do the same with your heart.
listen listen listen.. then listen some more.
your heart will sprout ears if you let it

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 18, 2008:
.........do you believe in the evolution of human consciousness?
nope. I don't do religion.
do you believe human consciousness is evolving?
at a glance it looks more like we're backpedalling wildly at the mo
rather than twirling upwards & doing them little big quantum leaps
to me human conscioussness is. what might evolve is our awareness &
our ability to tap into that conscioussness. I do believe we have the capacity
to evolve as humans when we decide to plug in & raise our level of awareness.
If so, what does this evolution look like? How do you recognize it?
and if not, do you feel we are different now than we've been in the past?
Yes, of course I feel that we are different than we've been.
change is a constant happening.

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 16, 2008:
........what would engage more people in creating a positive future?
what would be the best way to inspire & invite others to join in the vision for a better world?
The basis for asking this question in the first place as I see it, are the assumptions that the
future is not positive & that some of us knows what is better for others. The former being a
rather negative viewpoint to start out from & the latter somewhat arrogant; In combination,
probably not the best platform to work from when wanting to inspire others to change.
As with everything else change begins with oneself as our friend Gandhi says, be the change
you want to see in the world; Applied to the question at hand, this would entail the attempt
to accept, understand & embrace one's own negative view of the future along with the
underlying arrogance in the I know better attittude.
When that hurdle for being an inspiration to others is processed, I would say that the best
way to inspire is to live one's own life joyfully, here now according to vision. When the benefits
from living that vision are obvious, others might want it too & feel motivated to change what
does not work for them. Or they might not.
And if there is an expectancy that 'the others' see the light as 'we' have in this lifetime,
I suspect applying a heck of a lot of patience as a stress reducing precaution will come
in handy as well.
