This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 10, 2007:
......what was the last thing that made you laugh?
Three Yogis were meditating by the road.
One day a man on a horse rode by.
5 years later, one of the Yogis asked:
'what was that?'
10 years later, the other Yogi said:
'It was a man on a horse riding by'.
15 years later, the third Yogi said:
I'm leaving, it's too noisy here'

This reminds me of one I heard decades ago:
The young disciple kept asking his Master to impart unto him the Gems of Wisdom, which he knew his master guarded. He had heard rumors that these Gems could make him instantly wise. Repeatedly the Master refused his importunities, but finally, relented.
The master withdrew a small bag, and took therefrom a number of small pellets, which he gave to his disciple.
“My son, eat these Gems of Wisdom, and you will be truly wise,” said the Sage.
Whereupon the disciple took the gems and ate them greedily.
Immediately he spat them out with disgust, and cried, “Oh Master, these Gems of Wisdom are but balls of parrot dung!”
“See,” replied the Master, “Your wisdom has greatly increased already.”
